    The Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) has announced recruitment for the post of Apprentice Development Officer (ADO) in 2023. LIC, established in 1956, is India's largest insurance company and an Indian state-owned insurance group and investment company. The LIC ADO notification 2023 has been released for all 8 zones with a total of 9294 vacancies.

    The selection process for the ADO exam typically consists of three stages:

    • Preliminary Exam: The preliminary exam is a computer-based test that assesses the candidate's knowledge in English Language, Reasoning, and Quantitative Aptitude. Candidates who pass the preliminary exam will proceed to the next stage.
    • Main Exam: The main exam is also a computer-based test that assesses the candidate's knowledge in Reasoning, Data Analysis, and Interpretation, Financial Management, Economics and Insurance and Social Issues.
    • Interview: Candidates who pass the main exam will be called for an interview. The interview will be conducted by a panel of LIC officials.

    3. LIC ADO Eligibility Exam

    To be eligible for the LIC ADO exam, you must meet the following criteria:

    • Nationality: You must be an Indian citizen to be eligible for the LIC ADO exam.

    • Age Limit: Candidate must be between the ages of 21 and 30 to be eligible for the LIC ADO exam as on 01.01.2023. There are some age relaxations available for certain categories of candidates.

    • Educational Qualification: You must have at least a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university to apply for ADO. Proper documents from Board / University for having declared the result on or before 01.01.2023 have to be submitted at the time of interview. .

    5. Important Point to Keep in Mind while applying:

    Before applying online for the LIC ADO (Assistant Development Officer) exam, candidates should make sure to have the following documents scanned and ready to upload. These documents should follow the specified guidelines:

    1] LIC ADO Passport Photo size 4.5cm × 3.5cm and be in between 20 kb–50 kb.

    2] For the LIC ADO (Assistant Development Officer) examination, candidates should ensure that their signature image is in .jpg or .jpeg format, with dimensions of 140x60 pixels (preferred) and file size between 10kb-20kb, and also the size of the scanned image should not be more than 20kb.

    10. Selection Process For LIC - Apprentice Development Officer (ADO)

    The Selection of Apprentice Development Officer (ADO)will be made on the basis of on-line tests, followed by an interview of the candidates who qualify in the on-line test and subsequent pre-recruitment Medical examination.

    (I) On-line Test for Others (Open Market) Category:

    The online examination shall be conducted in two phases for the candidates from Open Market Category, viz. Preliminary examination and Main examination.

    Phase-I: Preliminary Examination:

    The LIC ADO Preliminary Examination will be an online objective test consisting of three sections with specific time allotments for each:

    (III) Interview:

    The marks obtained in the main examination only, will be considered for shortlisting for the interview. The marks obtained in main examination and the marks obtained in the interview, will be considered for the final merit listing of the candidates.

    • The marks from both the main examination and the interview will be used to create the final list of candidates who are offered the job.
    • LIC of India may set higher standards and minimum marks for the interview in order to limit the number of candidates who are called for the interview.
    • The maximum marks for the interview are 40.
    • If two or more candidates have similar marks, the person with additional higher education will be placed higher on the list. If there is still a tie, the older person will be placed higher on the list.
    • There will be no waiting list for candidates who do not pass the main examination.

    (IV) Pre-Recruitment Medical Examination:

    Selected candidate will be appointed as an Apprentice Development Officer subject to him/her being found medically fit by the Medical Examiner authorized by LIC of India for the purpose.
