    SNAP 2023: Exam Date, Registration, Syllabus, Pattern, Notification, Exam Fees, Admit Card Download


    A candidate aspiring to join an MBA programme offered by any Institute of Symbiosis International (Deemed University) [SIU] has to take the common, mandatory Symbiosis National Aptitude (SNAP) Computer Based Test (CBT) which will be conducted at Test Centers.

    The candidate needs to:

    1. Register for SNAP Test,
    2. Pay the registration fee for SNAP Test,
    3. Register for her/his choice of programme(s) offered by various Institutes of SIU,
    4. Pay the registration fee, separately for each programme.

    If shortlisted for a programme applied to, the candidate would then need to participate in the further admission process (GE-PIWAT) of that particular programme.

    Prepare for SNAP 2023

    1. What is SNAP Exam

    SIU (Deemed to be University) administers the SNAP Exam, a general aptitude exam, to applicants for admission to the various MBA and PGDM programmes at Symbiosis and its affiliated colleges. The Symbiosis National Aptitude Test (SNAP) is a speed-based competitive test that assesses candidates' proficiency in General English, Analytical and Logical Reasoning, and Quantitative Data Interpretation and Data Sufficiency. The enrollment period opened on August 4, 2022, after the government formally announced the SNAP Exam Date 2022. Before November 24, 2022, the candidates must complete the SNAP 2022 registration form.

    The total number of questions in SNAP Exam 2022 is 60, which is needed to be completed in 60 minutes. The aspirants who clear the SNAP Cut Off will be shortlisted for further selection rounds, that is, GE (Group Exercise), PI (Personal Interview), and WAT (Written Ability Test), conducted by SIU institutes.

    2. Eligibility for Appearing in SNAP

    The following SNAP eligibility criteria needs to be fulfilled by the candidates to appear for the SNAP  exam 2023 are:

    • Candidate should be Graduate from any recognised University/ Institution of National Importance and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent grade (45% marks or equivalent grade for Scheduled Castes/ Scheduled Tribes) at graduation.
    • Candidates appearing for final year examinations can also apply, but their admission will be subject to obtaining a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent grade (45% or equivalent grade for Scheduled Castes/ Scheduled Tribes).
    • A candidate who has completed qualifying qualification from any Foreign University must obtain an equivalence certificate from Association of Indian Universities (AIU)
    • The candidate is advised to check the eligibility criteria for the desired programme(s). SIU / STS / Institute will not be responsible, if the candidate applies for programme(s) for which s/he is not eligible.

    If a candidate fulfils the given SNAP eligibility requirements, they can apply and appear for the exam.

    3. SNAP 2023 Highlights

    • Please note that the SNAP Test 2022 will be a computer-based test.
    • SNAP Test duration is of 60 minutes.

    • SNAP Test is an objective test. Each question has four responses Candidate should choose an appropriate response. 
    • Each wrong answer attracts 25% negative marks.

    A candidate can appear for up to three tests for SNAP. If a candidate appears for more than one test, the higher score will be considered for the final percentile calculation and there will be no normalization. A rigorous process that has been statistically tested will be administered to ensure that unique types of questions are framed under a specific topic across the question papers. Normal spread will ensure that there is no unfair advantage to candidates who opt for any specific test / multiple tests. This will ensure normalization of the spread of questions across sections. Furthermore, the question papers will be normalized for the level of difficulty across all three sets. No correspondence regarding this will be entertained.

    • Any malpractice / use of unfair means will lead to your disqualification from the admission process of SIU. Instances of any incorrect information or process violation detected at any stage of the selection process will lead to immediate disqualification of the candidate from the selection process and he/she will not be allowed to appear for SNAP in the future. If such instances go undetected during the current selection process but are detected in subsequent years, such disqualification will take place with retrospective effect. 

    5. Documents Required for SNAP

    The applicants must provide a passport-size photo as well as a signature image to the application form. The specifications for the photos are described on the  SNAP official website, and a brief is given below:

    Pay the SNAP Test registration fee of INR 1950/- per test (Government taxes would be additional as and when applicable) from August 04, 2022 to November 24, 2022 as per the instructions mentioned on the website for Payment of SNAP Test registration fee.

    NOTE – SNAP Test registration fee and programme registration fee of the Institute is non-refundable and non-transferable.

    iv) PAYMENT THROUGH DEMAND DRAFT:Submit a Demand Draft (DD) of INR 1950/- per test (Government taxes would be additional as and when applicable) from any Nationalized Bank in favour of “Symbiosis Test Secretariat” payable at Pune.

    Choose the mode of Payment as 'DD Payment' in ‘Make Payment’ Tab. Take a print of the payment advice form, fill in the DD Details, sign and send it along with the DD to the Symbiosis Test Secretariat only at,

    The Symbiosis Test Secretariat (STS) will authenticate the details of the Demand Draft and will send you an email confirming the payment. Only after the realisation of payment, would you be able to view your Admit Card.

    Note –

    1. Please note that STS will not be responsible for non-delivery or any delay on the part of courier / postal services.
    2. The DD should reach STS by 5:00 pm on November 24, 2022. If the DD reaches after this, it will not be considered and will be returned to the candidate.
    3. It is also mandatory to pay the registration fee of the desired programme(s) before the closing date of programme registration fee payment of that/those programme(s). The said fee must be paid through the SNAP website only (snaptest.org).
    4. For disputes between a candidate and the STS, the candidate should first send an email to registrar@siu.edu.in with details about her/his grievance. If the candidate is not satisfied with the decision of the Registrar, s/he can appeal to the Ombudsman of the University. Information regarding the same is available on https://siu.edu.in/student-affairs.php. All disputes between the candidate and STS in this regard are subject to the legal jurisdiction of Pune.
    5. Any attempt to impersonate or indulge in any malpractice, identified at any stage of the admission process would disqualify the candidate from the admission processes to all PG programmes of Symbiosis International (Deemed University) and may also lead to appropriate legal action as deemed fit.
    6. SNAP Test 2022 Score will be valid only for admission to select programmes of SIU for the academic year 2023-24. Admissions to the select programmes at SIU are strictly based on merit, assessment of individual performance in SNAP and other processes prescribed by the University. (Note – SNAP Result will be declared on January 10, 2023, on snaptest.org and will be available till February 09, 2023).

    8. SNAP Exam 2023: Results

    XAT 2023 result will be declared on 31 January 2023. Here is a stepwise approach for downloading your XAT 2023 scorecard:

    • Log on to xatonline.in
    • Enter your enrolment ID and registered password
    • Visit the 'scorecard' section. Your result will be displayed on the screen.
    • Download the XAT 2023 result document and take a printout for future reference.
